24Hr 2CV Spa-Francorchamps: 29th Edition!!!
In 1948, 64 years ago now, the "TPV" (tout petite voiture or very small car), alias "2CV" was presented at the Paris Motor Show. In 1988, 24 years ago, the last 2CV came out of the Levallois factory. And 28 years ago, in 1985, the first "24 Hours 2CV" was organised on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Today, there are still thousands of working "Tin Ducks" around. Gentlemen of the road and competitors.
The weekend of October 19 and 20 next, the whole little world of "circuit 2CVs" will gather on the site of the most beautiful circuit in the world, on the occasion of the 29th edition of the crowning event of the season.
Since 1985 (but under the aegis of the ASBL 2CV Racingteams since 2007), sixty supercharged "Ducks" are at the start for the twice-around-the-clock at Spa-Francorchamps. And just like during previous editions, there will a real show on the track and in the pits, but also in the paddocks. Activity of all kinds, a stock, for sale or exchange, of 2CV parts and of course the "traditional" concentration of 2CV fans.
So, if you are the owner of one of these legendary cars, we suggest you come and spend your weekend in the Ardennes to discover the other beautiful road "Ducks" in the atmosphere of the 24Hr 2CV. A team will be on hand to welcome you from Friday afternoon right up until Sunday, around the clock 24/24hr.
You should also note that there is a camping zone available with WC and hot showers as well as firewood to warm up your evenings.
Even better, we have the proposal of the parade and tour of the circuit, a high point of this meeting for you. After this magical tour, all the Ducks will be parked in the P2 parking area. You will be able to exhibit your car and admire other original Ducks but also some that have been superbly decorated as well as others that have been customised.
Following that, action moves to the track where you can see the start of the 24 Hours 2CV, a spectacle rich in colour, especially during the first pass though the Raidillon. The most valiant will pass through there again +/- 400 times before passing the chequered flag on Sunday!
Please note, general entry and paddocks are free (no ticket downloading).
