To aid those impacted by the floods that have left everyone in Belgium grief-stricken, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is organising a driving evening (95Db max) on the 9th September between 6 pm and 8 pm with proceeds allocated to those affected by the disaster in the region. Several renowned professional drivers have also agreed to participate for free in this operation as track-introduction drivers: Fred Bouvy, Sarah Bovy, José Close, Marc Duez, Guillaume De Ridder, John Wartique, Gino Bux and Nico Verdonck.
Two options are possible:
- Driving evening: A session of track discovery, at the wheel of your own car, exclusively reserved for amateurs: €200, 2nd driver: €40, passenger: €30
- Track introduction: The track introduction is a unique opportunity to discover the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps from the inside, while doing two laps of the track as a passenger in our 310cv car with a professional driver behind the wheel : 129 €
As an exception, we will accept 50 cars (only 40 cars will be simultaneously authorised on track) so as to maximise the proceeds from this charity evening.
Drinks and snacks available, with the participation of Arbre qui tue and Galan Food & Beverage.
You can also help disaster victims by making a donation to the account BE27 0689 4224 3273 of the ASBL (non-profit association) Region of Verviers, an account opened and set aside in collaboration with the associations working on the ground and the burgomasters of the region. This ASBL brings together the following: Aubel, Baelen, Dison, Herve, Jalhay, Lierneux, Limbourg, Malmedy, Olne, Pepinster, Plombières, Spa, Stavelot, Stoumont, Theux, Thimister-Clermont, Trois-Ponts, Verviers, Waimes and Welkenraedt. Redistribution of the funds collected between the communities impacted will be carried out by the ASBL’s Administrative Council that includes the 20 municipalities of the Verviers district.
