Drifting in an Alfa Romeo - it's going to be explosive!

In the year of Alfa Romeo's 115th anniversary, SpaItalia has a duty to make news! Fans of the Milanese marque can rest assured that the programme of festivities will live up to expectations.

Of course, it's all about history, design and fine mechanical engineering... but it's also all about the big show!

And so, in a rather unlikely move, SpaItalia will bring together Alfa and... drift! A duo of Polish drivers, including Krystian Morawietz, are expected in the heart of the Ardennes on Sunday 15 June. And the public will doubtless not believe their eyes or their ears when one of the cars used is a modern-day Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTV - for Veloce !

A rather improbable machine designed for drifting competitions, and above all powered by a 2.9-litre, 24-valve engine boosted by two turbos. The result: 510bhp, 610Nm, and a sound that will leave no one indifferent. If you thought drifting was the preserve of super-powerful Japanese GTs and German sports saloons, think again !

Krystian Morawietz and his sidekick for the weekend will perform three times during the day, determined to make their engines scream. It's a show that confirms DG Sport's commitment to attracting as many people as possible to its SpaItalia events.

So, 115 years for one of Italy's most prestigious brands was well worth a display of horsepower, decibels and burnt rubber! The date is set !
