Protection of the Circuit’s image
The Circuit’s image is an essential intangible asset, the result of a long history and international recognition. Its use is strictly regulated in order to preserve the value and integrity of the Circuit.
All visual, photographic and audiovisual elements of the Circuit are protected by copyright and trademark rights.
Using the Circuit’s image to promote a product or service is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation and payment of the corresponding fees.
Commercial use of the Circuit’s image
Any use of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps trademarks or image rights must be requested in advance from our Brand Manager, Olivier Nyssen: olivier.nyssen@spa-francorchamps.be
Your request must specify:
- why you need to use our trademarks or image rights;
- whether a shoot may be required;
- the nature of the use, its duration and the purpose of the resulting images.
For any advertising, promotional or commercial use, prior written authorisation from the Circuit is required. Depending on the case, usage fees may apply.

Content creation at the Circuit
Any content creator wishing to carry out a project within the grounds of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps must obtain accreditation or prior authorisation.
Currently, content creators, or the agency representing them, must send their request by email to communication@spa-francorchamps.be, specifying:
- what they wish to do at the Circuit;
- the type of content planned;
- the intended distribution platform(s).
Races and events
Accreditations at events are issued by the organisers, according to their own criteria. However, the Circuit systematically requires professional photographer’s insurance, and requests must most often serve a journalistic purpose.
During an event, image rights are strictly limited to promoting the race and the event.
Additional authorisation from the Circuit is required in the following cases:
- use of drones;
- any use of the Circuit’s image outside the promotion of the race and the event.
