
The latest addition to MONGRIP’s catalogue is the Curbstone Collection.
Raidillon Limited Edition: a homage to the historic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, once again highlighting the uniqueness and the prestige of the products created by the Monegasque brand, in the pursuit of the union between authenticity and passion.
For the Curbstone Collection – Raidillon Limited Edition, MONGRIP decided to pay tribute to the Belgian circuit, considered by many as one of the best racetracks in the world, which has given birth to countless unique moments since its inauguration back on August 12th, 1921. Specifically, the project revolves around Raidillon, the latter end of the corner complex known as Eau Rouge-Raidillon, famous all around the motorsport industry. A corner added in 1939 that immediately became special in the hearts of fans; a mixture of speed, precision, and bravery, which tests even the best drivers. It’s a point of the circuit that, in just 240 meters, sees an elevation change of 24 meters, thus creating a corner with a 17% gradient to be taken on at the highest of speeds. In 1995, the renovations made at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps saw the curbs at Eau Rouge-Raidillon being replaced; 30 years later, MONGRIP collaborated with the Belgian track to recover and preserve some portions of the original curbs, giving life to its most recent creation: the Curbstone Collection – Raidillon Limited Edition.
A work of art designed in Monaco, crafted in Belgium, then realized and finalized in Italy, putting together passion, technology and adrenaline in a one-of-a-kind product. The collection is limited to just 888 pieces: a specific number that evokes infinity, the recycling of materials, and the continuity of life. Each example includes a base in refined aluminium, thought to highlight the colours of the kerbs in Spa-Francorchamps – yellow and red – which still have some original tyre marks from those cars that took on Raidillon thanks to MONGRIP’s preserving skills. The three-dimensional structure helps remembering the uniqueness of one of the most famous corners in the motorsport sphere. Moreover, each piece is stored in an authentic solid wood packaging, created following the rules of Italian handicraft.
The Curbstone Collection – Raidillon Limited Edition is only the latest addition to the ever-growing line-up of products made by MONGRIP: a story born with the goal of giving fans the opportunity to own authentic pieces of motorsport history, which started with the Bracelet collection. A product, the MONGRIP bracelet, which turned pieces of used tyres from the most important racing championships, including Formula 1 and GT competitions, into elegant and refined bracelets. The project was then accompanied by two limited editions dedicated to Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher, two legends of the sport.
MONGRIP is set to launch the Curbstone Collection – Raidillon Limited Edition on Tuesday 22nd July, with each piece available for 650 euros+VAT. Sales are set to start at 9.00am on Friday 25th July – a date that corresponds to the start of the Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Belgian Grand Prix 2025: one of the most important races of the year not just for the circuit, but in the entire global motorsport picture.
