Final round of the 2021 FIA World Rallycross Championship
9 & 10 October 2021
The FIA World Rallycross Championship has revised its 2021 calendar. The Spa World Rallycross of Benelux will now close a season that promises to be thrilling on 9 & 10 October 2021* instead of the inital scheduled date of 22 & 23 next May.
The cocktail is expected to be absolutely explosive for the last round of the season which will host all the FIA World Rallycross Championship series: the World RX1, the RX2e, the Euro RX1 and the Euro RX3.
Nathalie Maillet, CEO: "This reorganisation of the calendar is, of course, to do with the pandemic situation in the world. Our priority is and will remain the health and safety of everyone. We hope, with this postponement, that the context will be more favourable and that we'll have the opportunity to throw open wide our gates to the fans.
I am delighted that we are hosting the final of the 2021 championship at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps for this 2nd edition of the Spa World Rallycross of Benelux. The presence of all these series on our Circuit is an amazing opportunity to show that combusion and electric engines are fully complementary. This is a new era that is opening for the World RX.
We have a role to play in technological innovation in the motorsport sector and the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps once again proves its wish to position itself as a major player in these developments."
And so the champions of the 2021 season will be crowned on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps and we expect it to be a breathtaking spectacle, not to be missed on any account!.
*If spectators who already have tickets cannot attend the event on this new date, the organisers will communicate all useful information concerning the ticketing later.
