NEWS - FEBE ELEMENTS AWARDS
On Thursday 27 October, in Brussels, the FEBE, Fédération de l’Industrie du Béton [Federation of the Concrete Industry] held the 10th FEBE Elements Awards ceremony. The Raidillon Grandstand was the winner in the "Precast in Structures" category which included 2 other nominees: Usine de carton Soenen – Lanklaar [Soenen – Lanklaar paperboard factory] & the ultra-high performance concrete Passerelle [footbridge] in Schoten.
This is wonderful recocognition of a major project that has been delighting spectators throughout the season!
"Jury's opinion: The new grandstand in prefabricated concrete combines technical expertise with an understated and functional design that is nevertheless aesthetically powerful. The tiers and canopies form an open and transparent complex in the rolling landscape and surrounded by a spruce forest.The elegance of the structure rests simultaneously in its minimal dimensions and in its perfect execution.
The level of finish is particularly high and indicates a very strict and elevated quality control in the production of elements. The ergonomic design of the seating elements is the result of specially-designed metal casing moulds. This has had an exceptionally positive outcome."
