The Circuitsp’Adventure takes you along the Eau Rouge

NEWS - PRESS RELEASE

Circuitsp’Adventure, a new tourism offer that gets away from the well-beaten path.

The Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, located at the heart of the Ardennes forest, is often described as the most beautiful circuit in the world. However, few people are familiar with the richness of its flora and fauna.

It is this less-known aspect of our site that we’d like to have people discover by letting them enjoy a ramble surrounded by nature. Visitors following this 1.5-kilometre trail will cross from one bank to the other of the Eau Rouge on bridges overlooking the famous river and also walk on slatted duckboard for part of the promenade.

And there’s more! The Circuitsp’Adventure is also intended to be an entertaining and educational ramble at the heart of the Circuit. Everyone will really enjoy this, including families, nature lovers, and sportspeople.

This trail allows everyone to delve into the marvels of the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps by means of its sporting activities and games, and they can discover the flora and fauna thanks to information panels.

Amaury Bertholomé, CEO : “This is a new way of exploring the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, a unique and entirely free experience that we are offering you in this second part of the season when we still have some exceptional events taking place on the circuit. This is additional proof that the Circuit offers far more than just the activities on track and that, apart from its positive economic impact on the region, it’s also a major tourist attraction. On top of that, you’ll also be able to relive the history of our Circuit through a route that will bring you around our entire site.”

The Balade du Centenaire (Centenary Walk), the story of the Circuit told in 10 helmets

This is a second walking route offered by the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, this time on the topic of the centenary. The Balade du Centenaire will bring you along a centenary timeline by means of ten giant helmets that you can find over the entire Circuit site, each of them representing a decade in the Circuit’s 100-year history from 1921 à 2021.

Panels have been installed in front of these helmets to allow you (by scanning the QR CODE) immerse yourself in the history of the Circuit via text content, that has been translated into four languages, narrating the high points of the Circuit, year after year.

These two trails offer a new way of visiting the Circuit. They complement the activities on the track with a new tourism offer in addition to traditional guided tours and strengthens  the attractiveness to tourists of a site made accessible to a larger number of people, and mostly free of charge.
