Bikers' Festival: motorcycling for all times and all modes
A specialist in motorbike events in Belgium, DG Sport has decided to go all out for the weekend of 12 and 13 August. Rather than targeting vintage enthusiasts, modern motorbike fans, touring enthusiasts or competition fans, the organiser from Theux has decided to bring them all together in one place: the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps! Welcome to the 1st Bikers' Festival!
Two-wheeled enthusiasts will be storming the motorised pearl of the Ardennes for a multi-faceted event. As well as the driving sessions on the Circuit, aimed at both classic and modern bikes, the paddock will be teeming with activity with the Bikers' Village, a veritable open-air motorbike show, attended by numerous importers of the most famous brands. What's more, the public will have the chance to test-drive - free of charge! - behind the wheel of a hundred or so models from ten different brands!
On the competition front, the Bikers' Festival will see competitors in the 2 Jours de Stavelot Revival, an enduro event reserved for bikes from the olden days. The 40th anniversary of Didier de Radiguès' victory in the 1983 Belgian Pure Speed Grand Prix will be celebrated with an exhibition in the presence of the former driver. As for the living legend Giacomo Agostini, the man with 15 world titles and 122 Grand Prix victories, he will enhance this 1st Bikers' Festival with his presence!
The public will also be able to take part in the Moto Trail Ardenne, for lovers of country rides, or the 1000 Virages for those who prefer the open road. As for the family and festive aspect, it is by no means forgotten, with a Bikers' Party on Saturday evening in the heart of the paddock and a children's village set up throughout the weekend.
You've got it: with the Bikers' Festival, DG Sport aims to bring the motorcycling community together for what is set to become their annual meeting.
