Once again this year the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will be welcoming several thousand enthusiasts over three days. The programme will include the World Series Formula V8 3.5, TCR International series and the Porsche GT3 Cup Benelux races. The free practice sessions and qualifications will take place on Thursday and Friday before the major endurance event. The battle for the second leg of the 2017 WEC season will take place on Saturday 6 May from 2.30pm. The show will take place on the

minutes duration on Saturday and a 60-minute race on Sunday. This season, the World Series by Renault no longer exists. However, a new championship - the Formula 3.5 V8 - has been created for these beautiful and very powerful cars which are the ex-Renault 3.5s. So, a feast for the eyes and ears is guaranteed for all those who love these race cars which are nearly as fast as the GP2s. They will compete on Saturday and Sunday in two races of 40 minutes plus a lap. These will not be the only single

of Eau Rouge. Each day, the new set of Formula Legends 3.5 will perform one to two demonstrations of 20 minutes each. Members of the public eager for thrills and the sound of purring engines will be able to get up close to these extraordinary cars

Some sections of the runway will be resurfaced, representing a total of 3.5 km of runway and over 600 m of pitlane, or some 43,000 sq. m. of surface area. The new tarmac will be laid on the following bends: - from T17 to T2, i.e. from the Blanchimont bend to the Eau Rouge bend, including the fastlane of the F1 pitlane - T4 to T8, from Kemmel to the Brussels bend - From T14 to T15, i.e. from the Campus bend to the Paul Frère bend.
