The Ardennes toboggan will host the second round of the Endurance World Championship, following its return to the EWC calendar two years ago. The 8 hours of Spa Motos will be played on a two-day concentrated format. Free practice and qualifying will take place on Friday 7 June. The two clock towers that were until now the Belgian stage leave place, this year, to a sprint whose start will be given on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 p.m. and the arrival at 9:00 p.m.

The announcement of this new 8-hour format, identical to that of Suzuka, Japan, in July, was well received by all riders. «8-hour races are another philosophy», commented Jeremy Guarnoni, one of the riders of the Belgian KM99 team. You may be more nervous and, as we saw at Suzuka, there may be more mistakes. But it will be good, less physical for the riders, but more difficult for the teams who will have to go very quickly in the refuelling.”

A festive weekend, with many animations!

To reinforce the festive atmosphere of this exceptional event, two concerts will be given during the weekend. A first concert, with Cherry & The Bomb will be scheduled on Friday after qualifying and one just after the finish on Saturday with Kill the Princess. The village and the stage will now be adjacent to the paddock which is open to the public, which will offer spectators the opportunity to live this weekend closer to the riders. Several Highline shows will be scheduled during the weekend with Benoit Brume, world record holder in the discipline.

In addition, all riders participating in the 8H of Spa will attend the parade that will join the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Malmedy, Wednesday, June 5. The EWC riders will start from the circuit to go to Malmedy Square for a highlight, with autographs and a meeting with the fans. The parade will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the signing session will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
