Four marshals and one driver were injured in the incident. All were immediately attended by the circuit medical staff. The Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps track is recognised worldwide by its yellow and red rumble strips in the colours of Wallonia. From now on the run-off areas of the Raidillon of Eau Rouge and of the Chicane will also be adorned in new colours: black-yellow-red, a clear nod to the Belgian flag! Comtoyou Racing Audi tops opening morning session at official Prologue
Comtoyou Racing ended the opening morning of the 2023 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa Prologue at the top of the timing screens courtesy of its #11 Audi. Christopher Haase posted a 2m18.525s lap early in the three-hour session, after which rain left the circuit damp and prevented any improvement on the German driver's benchmark. To aid those impacted by the floods that have left everyone in Belgium grief-stricken, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is organising a driving evening (95Db max) on the 9th September between 6 pm and 8 pm with proceeds allocated to those affected by the disaster in the region. Several renowned professional drivers have also agreed to participate for free in this operation as track-introduction drivers: Fred Bouvy, Sarah Bovy, José Close, Marc Duez, Guillaume De Ridder, John Wartique, Gino Bux
