Dies ist der fünfte Saisonlauf der European Le Mans Series, eines Championats für LMP2-Prototypen (den Boliden, die auch bei der WEC im Mai zahlreich hier waren) und LMP3, bei denen es sich ebenfalls um Prototypen handelt.
