Zur Unterstützung der Flutopfer, die ganz Belgien in Trauer versetzt haben, veranstaltet die Rennstrecke von Spa-Francorchamps am 9. September von 18 bis 20 Uhr ein Freifahrtsabend (max. 95 dB), dessen Einnahmen den Opfern aus der Region zugutekommen. Mehrere berühmte Profi-Rennfahrer haben ebenfalls zugesagt, unentgeltlich als Piloten für Jungfernfahrten an dieser Aktion mitzuwirken: Fred Bouvy, José Close, Marc Duez, Guillaume De Ridder, John Wartique, Sarah Bovy, Gino Bux und Nico Verdonck
